The images I capture are certainly not produced from my imagination, but I believe I am led to them partly due to my imagination, and in the processing the imagination factor definitely throws down much harder.

Sometimes it is colors, sometimes texture, sometimes some other feeling that draws my eye and urges me to "click." I haven't given it much thought and probably won't. I love the spontaneity factor.

Light,shadow all beckon me. All aluring all different. All with a voice and a song.

Sometimes you start out thinking one thing and it changes. It was a calm moment but it morphed into a funhouse.

 

 

When you have all these thoughts 

just running around in your head 
how do you make sense of any one of them 
Switching from analyzing this 
to analyzing that   

Oh to find some relief 
Like to take my head off 
let all the garbage spill out 
Then I would be left with a empty head 
Funny I know 
But how else do you clear the clutter away 

I know what if I just say anything 
that pops into my head 
even if it is the wrong thing 
Would that be okay 
Or would my words hurt, 
not convey my real message 
or would they finally be mine 
uncensored 
out there 
just my truth 
and finally 
my voice

I've been realizing more and more that people's faces tell the best stories in the best way possible. So much is conveyed in a  glance, a smirk, a frown... One tiny gesture contains much more complexity than all of the Grand Canyon IMHO. Anyway enough babbling let's have a look.

This man got what he needed and begins to take off on bike with his purchases in tow.

The apple guy for the masses. Not pitching fanboy geek goodies just the crunchy kind that keeps the doctor away.

Lot's of attitude rolling off this youngblood. He's got the look, found in a book and happy to pay for it, but he's owning it now. Might even say his reputation is on the line.

This lady seemed so poised and dignified even among the throngs. That isn't affected, that comes from within. Mighty aura mojo with her.

Working busily to finish up work on his Year of the Ox entry for the Lantern Festival pageant. Bright colored cultural goodness.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, worked hard to attain, has had wars fought over it and drives economies. Soothing to the eyes like a cool breeze on a hot summer day.

I love how Taiwanese kids are dressing and wearing hairstyles like we did back in the late 70's. Keeping the spirit of punk and the Ramones alive. We're a happy family, we're a happy family:me, mom and daddy!

This "B-boy" looking hotdog vendor very much ready for the youthful crowds of the YiZhong St market. This market lies between to local colleges so a big hangout for students and young people.

Now it wouldn't be proper unless our shopping scene had these fashionistas in tow. Are they slamming what they see or gushing about how the simply must have "that outfit" ?

Fountain of Youth

Youth is sought after by the masses
Stay young and stay strong
Stay healthy and you’ll stay long
I’ve felt my youth wither
My age only seems petite by the elders around
Who will soon be six feet down
Exercise brings a mental strain
And physical drain
Pills will kill
And life still will be plain
Youth is achieved in a special way

While out randomly cruising around last Saturday I managed to get a few interesting shots. The place I wanted to shoot ended up being a "no go" so I just shifted gears and headed to the northeast side of town which gets up into the foothills of Dong Shan.

This Catholic Church building had caught my eye before. It is on Taichung's Double 10 Rd. going downtown towards the Confucius Temple.

I've always got my eye out for lanterns. I really liked the lengthy linear string grouping here. It was also nicely contrasted by the green lamp posts on the bridge. Kind of Christmas-like in a way.

Ths one really caught my eye. Lo and behold a railroad car on a roof. Funky architectural hackng by some taiwanese business people. KTV is a karaoke bar where every party gets there own room with karaoke set up.

Paper machiere dragon taking a break before the big hoiday(Chinese New Year) next week. Great colors-dragons always catch my eye as well.

This tower of modern style lanterns was one of many at this hillside center for handicapped youth. Never knew it existed. Nicely located up by the old Encore gardens park.

Some murals by the students on the winding drive up to the property. I love getting out exploring. I never know what I'll find to shoot.
