Mark Lanegan Band - The Gravedigger's Song
I'm getting more and more into abstract still life photos. I really like the feel and mood here and I love how you can focus on an element of a scene or thing and create something very different or provide a totally different vibe to it. Hope you like it as well...

I often get feedback on my titles/captions. I admit I do have fun with them. They extend from my love of humor which includes a certain amount of irony hopefully mixed with the joy of being alive and experiencing what life has to offer. I hope this holiday season allows you some opportunity to be more joyful about life...
Robert Plant - Angel Dance
Sometimes you discover an artistic work that is so overwhelming and mind boggling-you have an epiphany not unlike the troubled teen in American Beauty-feeling completely euphoric and free about the spinning plastic bag. My plastic bag moment is from Terrence Malick's-The Tree of Life.
I am still watching it-I'm allowing tim for my eyes to drink in all the beautiful colors, shapes and textures. My brain needs time as well to weave the human and spiritual threads together in this beautiful impressionistic melange of images, warmth, sound and ideas. I made an immediate Kubrick 2001 connection-but where Kubrick's 2001 was sterile and cryptic this is warm and engaging. It really appeals to the inner child in you...
John Hassell & Brian Eno- Chemistry
Sometimes when look for photographs or even more when looking at certain photographs, time just stands still. Maybe you can hear some happy instrumental music somewhere in the back of your head, smell phantom hot cocoa or roasting chestnuts or a log in the fire place... Then you snap out of it, but still are left with a contented smile...and you go about your business.

Nice to be included among some really fine photographers and photographs in the latest edition of CameraPixo Photography Magazine! It's really well formatted and all images are high resolution. It offers IPhone and Android versions too. Artur Heller selects an image from each collection as his Editor's Choice-this was mine(below). Make sure to follow me on G+ if you like.
BY HILAIRE BELLOC
There is a wall of which the stones
Are lies and bribes and dead men's bones.
And wrongfully this evil wall
Denies what all men made for all,
And shamelessly this wall surrounds
Our homesteads and our native grounds.
But I will gather and I will ride,
And I will summon a countryside,
And many a man shall hear my halloa
Who never had thought the horn to follow;
And many a man shall ride with me
Who never had thought on earth to see
High Justice in her armoury.
When we find them where they stand,
A mile of men on either hand,
I mean to charge from right away
And force the flanks of their array,
And press them inward from the plains,
And drive them clamouring down the lanes,
And gallop and harry and have them down,
And carry the gates and hold the town.
Then shall I rest me from my ride
With my great anger satisfied.
Only, before I eat and drink,
When I have killed them all, I think
That I will batter their carven names,
And slit the pictures in their frames,
And burn for scent their cedar door,
And melt the gold their women wore,
And hack their horses at the knees,
And hew to death their timber trees,
And plough their gardens deep and through—
And all these things I mean to do
For fear perhaps my little son
Should break his hands, as I have done.
