I got many iconic location shots on recent photo walk (which I'll feature over time here on flickr and Big in Asia: Monochrome) of downtown Lukang-Taiwan-Taiwan's second commercial center. The first one in Tainan promoted by the temporary Dutch colonizers later shifted north to central Taiwan. Lukang (or literally deer harbor) used to have direct harbor off the Strait of Taiwan. Some of Taiwan's most powerful families hail from there and many of them profited from the Japanese occupation which favored Lukang due to it's central location on the island of Taiwan.
This old man was spotted by me in my agressive street photographer mode (always on). I knew right away he'd be a great photo. So much charater in his face, so many stories there a life full of experience. I've been getting greater success in my editing adjustments and feel I'm egtting better tonal richness-hope you agree
.
Music oh sweet music. Neil Young-Old Man
