The good thing about the &quot;single&quot;-based culture is that bands can craft one or two songs that are worth listening to and keep recording costs down, rather than have to punch out another dozen inferior tracks to complete an album (that no one will buy).  The bands that ARE good enough to sustain a full album&#039;s worth of material should be rewarded, but others shouldn&#039;t be penalized for having fewer compelling ideas.</description>
