Ahh, SL is a social medium…

Yesterday morning my time-(Full disclosure: GMT+8) there was an SL event featuring Moshang. I helped arrange it for CC Chapman & Britney Mason. Doing my bit being a “connector” and “patron saint” for musician friends. Most people there seemed to really enjoy the music as I commented here. This morning as I went for a much needed walk I was thinking this over. I have never met CC although we talked about it once(1st PME/podcast expo-couldn’t make it). SL is a “social” media device. It enables people/friends to hang and enjoy something together. He was also there with friends and colleagues. I was there with web friends,virtual friends, social media “partners in fun/info crime”.
We even had some good conversation in that surreal IM space we call SL. Bubbles among chat, music among international friends, people happy and sharing a few moments together, all in cyberspace.
